I will at least twice a month get a to go order from here. I usually get the Chicken Quesadilla and an order of homemade chips. In the past I've had the cheeseburger and fries. They have a devoted lunch crowd as well. Friendly people. Great place to eat or get a to go order!

My only complaint is we waited for our food for an hour and then when we went to get it, they'd sent it with someone else. But they gave us a gift card for our next order. I'm not sure if it took so long due to ordering it via grub hub or what, but the second round they made only took about 15 mins. So I wouldn't call it so much of a complaint. I liked the food a lot. My boyfriend got a steak, and I got the trotter melt. The melt was super messy but very good. My boyfriend said nothing but good things about the steak. We're new in town and we wanted to try some local places. We will definitely eat there again.

This is a wonderful bar and restaurant. The food and service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. The prices were incredible. Build your own burger for $7 and that includes mushrooms, grilled onions and a fried egg. Delightful spot.

The number of staff is limited, but the staff on hand is pretty friendly. The wait time for the food is long, but I would guess there is only one cook on the clock. Trotter's has a great atmosphere and televisions everywhere, so you never miss a beat come game time. If I had to recommend one meal, I would suggest the Buffalo Chicken Wrap.

Trotters Pub & Grill

Looking for a cozy spot in New Lexington, OH where good food and great vibes come together? Trotters Pub & Grill at 123 N Main St is the kind of place that locals return to—and out-of-towners wish they had back home.

What Makes Trotters Pub & Grill a Local Favorite

Step inside and you’ll see why folks talk about this place like it's part of the family. Trotters Pub & Grill isn’t just another stop on Main Street—it’s where comfort food meets small-town hospitality. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after work or settling in for game night, there’s a seat with your name on it.

On my last visit, the smash burger came out sizzling, tucked between a soft, buttery bun and loaded with crispy bacon and fresh toppings. Not just tasty—there’s a clear focus on quality and consistency here. The menu covers all the bases: wings, wraps, melts, nachos, and hearty dinners like grilled chicken with baked potato and fresh green beans. Every item shows that someone in the kitchen cares.

Locals often praise the daily specials, and for good reason—they’re not an afterthought. The Friday fish fry? Crispy, golden, and gone in seconds. If you're visiting on a weekend, prepare for a full house and lots of laughter from the bar area. That buzz? It's part of the charm.

Behind the Food: A Look at What’s Served and Why It Works

Great food isn’t just about flavor—it’s about experience. Trotters delivers on both. The team behind the counter knows your name by the second visit. And the bartender? Knows what you're drinking by the third. That kind of service only comes from a crew that takes pride in their work.

The kitchen team sticks to what they do best: classic American fare with a pub-style twist. Burgers are thick, fries are hand-cut, and sauces (yes, even ranch) taste like someone mixed them up just for your plate. Even the kids' menu gets thoughtful treatment—no sad nuggets here.

Here’s what stands out: freshness. Ingredients feel real. Vegetables are crisp, the chicken is juicy, and nothing tastes mass-produced. According to recent reviews, patrons frequently mention the homemade feel and generous portions. It’s the kind of spot where your plate arrives, and you instantly know you’re getting your money’s worth.

It's Not Just a Bar – It's the Town's Social Hub

Ask anyone around New Lexington, and they’ll tell you: Trotters is more than a restaurant. It’s where old friends meet, new connections spark, and community events come to life. With sports on the TVs, live music, and a steady hum of conversation, there’s always something going on.

The location makes it easy to find, and the atmosphere makes it hard to leave. Families sit side-by-side with after-work crews and travelers passing through. You’ll hear laughter, the occasional birthday song, and the clink of glasses filled with local drafts or classic cocktails.

What really sticks is how welcoming it feels. There’s no pressure to dress up or be anyone you’re not. Whether you’re in jeans and a ball cap or coming in straight from work, you’ll be greeted with the same friendly nod.

Real People, Real Reviews: What Others Are Saying

No polished PR campaign can replace word-of-mouth—and in Trotters' case, it works in their favor. Online reviews frequently highlight the “warm service,” “perfectly grilled steaks,” and the laid-back vibe. One reviewer even said, “If you don’t like Trotters, you just don’t like food.”

On a busy Friday night, I spoke with a couple celebrating their anniversary. They've been coming here since the early 2000s. “We’ve seen servers grow up here. This place is part of our life,” the husband told me. That kind of loyalty doesn’t come easy—and it doesn’t happen by accident.

Even new visitors notice. A recent traveler from Columbus shared in a Facebook group that Trotters had “the best onion rings I’ve had in years” and “service that felt like visiting your aunt’s house.”

From casual lunches to Saturday night dinners, it’s the kind of diner-meets-pub that fills more than just your plate—it fills your soul a little too.
